Muhammadiyah University of Malang in 2013, receiving as much as 7,480 freshmen students. University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a New Student Introduction Studies (Pesmaba) on Saturday (7/9)

until Tuesday(10/9). A total of 7,480 new students following the opening ceremony led by inspector ceremony Regional Police Deputy Chief (Deputy Police Chief) Java Brigadier General (Pol) Moh. Moechgyarto. Of which there are 35 foreign students from 17 countries are involved in the opening of the New Student Study Introduction (Pesmaba). Thailand with 14 students, then Singapore, Poland, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, and Poland, respectively, and the other 2 are from Argentina, England, Australia, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech, Hungary, Sudan, China, and France.

Pesmaba mandatory for all new students of Diploma programs and Strata-1. Pesmaba done to introduce campus life in particular with regard to the study. Implementation Pesmaba done to include: the introduction of the university, faculties, departments, functionaries, academic, student affairs, laboratories, libraries, etc..
